God Our Father
Have you ever thought about the fact that God is our perfect Heavenly Father? I mean really thought about it...He's gives us the perfect example of parenting right? Unconditional love, discipline when needed, blessings when we don't deserve them, and peace beyond understanding. That's exactly what we as parents are supposed to be providing for our children (read them again)
Unconditional Love, Discipline (Amen to this one!), Blessings when we don't deserve them, and peace beyond understanding, it's crazy that we read about how much God loves us, how much he desires for us to be "at peace with all people" and yet not all of these things do we take into consideration for our own children. We typically take God's Word and try and apply it to our life, and to how we should react to the world around us without thinking about the fact that it applies ESPECIALLY to our parenting! EMBRACE WAS AMAZING!!!
EMBRACE was truly an amazing event this year for students and their parents!!!Thank you so much to all of you who came to the first ever EMBRACE, my prayer for you over the past 4 years was that God would be right in the middle of your life as a student or as a parent.
We are living in a culture now where there is such a gap between the two that sometimes it seems like it can never be fixed, but be encouraged....GOD IS NOT DONE YET!!!
I am praying for you today as you start to take steps toward repairing your relationships, talking together, getting to know each other, and learning how to love each other as Christ has loved us already!
